compiler is deterministic, coding models are not. compilers have been unit tested and will generate same output for a given input. They are not the same things.

No, dont trust the supposed "staff engineer" types, Many had forgotten how to write code and now they can finally live the fantasy of being architects. So for them its like winning a jackpot. For people who could always write good

Stop acting like software engineering is dead or something. Even if it its, we will still code by hand when we are poor later in this bubble. Only thing I would refuse is to pay any money to Anthropic & openAI. Literally would invest in

Its not about information but about directing the user in this case. Not everything has to be information dense or even convenient. Sometimes you want users to scroll or make them click step buttons. (checkout is sometimes made to have more

meetings hardly reach anywhere. most of the details are eventually figured out by developers when interacting with the code. If all ideas from PMs are implemented in a software, it would eventually turn into bloatware before even reaching M

> The cost of turning written business logic into code has dropped to zero. Or, at best, near-zero. Zero if you dont consider Anthropic's API pricing, the prompter's hourly rate and verification bottleneck.

In some ways no, because to learn something you have to LEARN that then thats in the training data. But humans can do it continuously and sometimes randomly, and also being without prompted.

governments will collapse before we are at a moment where UBI is needed. Billionaires and companies hardly pay any tax and if white collar jobs die down, there is no guarantee that government will even have money to wipe their butt.

They can now easily decrease the speed for the normal mode, and then users will have to pay more for fast mode.

Watch them decrease resources for the normal mode so people are penny pinched into using fast mode.

Why would they cut a money making feature? In fact I am already imagining them asking for speed ransom every time you are in a pinch, some extra context space will also become buyable. Anthropic is in a penny pincher phase right now and the

Yes, but who did we automate out of a job by building crappy software? Accountants are more threatened by AI than any of the software we created before, same with Lawyers, teachers. We didnt automate any physical labourers out of a job too.
