Not sure why you're fixated on the whole Linux kernel - we're talking about a small pool of volunteers supporting complex modules. There are good laptops out there other than Macs... Lenovo, HP, Dell, etc all have offerings which

> I just don't think that it makes up for depending on a small team of volunteers to resolve all hardware issues in an ecosystem hostile to OSS This. The volunteer pool is too small. And you're supporting a shitty company.

Cryptocurrency could be used here to both decentralize and incentivize such a system. I think a major hurdle would be the fact torrents have been "free" since their inception. PoS is irrelevant here - it's a mechanism that li

I use string templates for small hidden services and I have never ever once ran into a problem. So yeah, really no issue. Anyone complaining otherwise is being really picky about subtleties in particular contexts. At large they completely w

I'm having this issue also right now. I'm trying to play through it, but what really had me stopped at the beginning was the indirection, not knowing where to go, or if I was really headed in the right direction. It's not a p

This is why I stopped calling HN, HN. It's YCombinator news. It's not news for hackers - maybe at one point, but not anymore and not for awhile. It may even be seen as looked down on because you're posting on a site run by ve
