I started using an ipad with the Smart Keyboard and pencil to replace a lot of the things i usually use a laptop for (basic web surfing, reading). I could see this being useful if it had a keyboard cover and a Bluetooth stylus. I’m sure som

When I've had to do similar, the easiest and fastest way has always been install spark -> Create an external spark sql table from the csvs -> use spark sql to join and aggregate/write. If you haven't used spark before i

In my view it’s a good example of why the manual labeling is flawed as CNN regularly criticizes progressives and airs republican views that TYT then responds to and criticizes CNN for. To categorize them both as “Partisan Left Focused on po

Difficult to take this analysis seriously when CNN is categorized with The Young Turks as “Partisan Left.” Regardless of what you think of either channel the programming of these two channels is dramatically different. The fact that the tag

Making operations google’s problem is precisely what drives BigQuery, FaaS and Dataflow adoption. Its operationally safer when you dont need a hadoop team to maintain your data infrastructure. See Nytimes, Twitter and Spotify for examples.

BigQuery is by far their killer app. Every place Ive interviewed for or worked with that uses GCP uses it mainly for BigQuery. Dataflow and Cloud Run are likely to be up there soon.

Cloud Dataflow is also vastly more expensive than using pyspark and Apache Beam is 10 times slower for most operations than Flink or Spark. I have to try the new flexible scheduling but DataFlow the last time I tried it 2 years ago was a ma
