Sssh! "Old = bad" means job security for millions of engineers. We need yet another security attack surface, I mean "improved interrupt handling." I don't understand why people, engineers of all people, fall for the

LR BLE (900 MHz) is interesting and the band I worked with more-so than 2.4 GHz because its range was far superior. What we need is Tile Ultra or AirTag+: Underwater edition using 1.85 or 3.75 MHz. Or sonic pinging. :)

You'd need 128-bit integers because of the way this works in the intermediate steps before the shift. There are u128 types in many modern compilers, but it's probably cheaper just to use a different type (u64) of table and another

LZCNT (base 2) would get you to a range of possible decimal digit (base 10) lengths that would need further processing, but it's still more expensive than a table-lookup direct solution directly to the base you're interested in.

I recall needing this on a snprintf() implementation. Isn't this effectively a table-optimized logBase(x) rounded-up to the ceiling, which can be reduced to efficient log2(x)/log2(Base)? If you know the base, then you can combine

Yeah, 1-2 years, you must've missed it then. Regardless of the sustainability of corporate strategy, the Solaris kernel team pushed out a solid fs and David and Andy capitalized on it. ZFS is technically great, but like the awesome sof

Yep. Similar to the OP article in the sense of different and more complicated than the E-6 process.

Nice try throwing shade, but they're totally different approaches. WAFL only detects data bit flips with a larger sector size containing parity info, ZFS uses Merkle trees and hashing.
