This is a romanticized view of the small family farm. Our farmibg practices in the US were imported from Europe and were not adapted to our climates. Settlers spread like locusts across land that was so fertile that even if they didn'

If someone writes on a whiteboard with a permanent marker, immediately black it out with a dry erase marker. Then wipe it off. The dry erase marker's solvent will release the permanent marker ink.

Interesting, I thought it was just me who had to overcome negative connotations to subtraction and division. It is only in the last 15 years that I learned to treat all arithmetic neutrally.

Self fund your prototype. Do not spend a lot of money on programmers, designers, and artists. Time box your prototype. No more than a year.

I've seen this in action: someone bullshitting in a group until they believe their own bullshit.

Disinformation is a weapon used to crush dissent. Can antidisinformation policies also be used to crush dissent? Sure, any tool can be misused and weaponized.

I disagree with your conclusion. Voting does not need to be made more convenient beyond preventing obvious voter suppression and making election day a federal and/or state holiday. Additionally, a digital compromise of a fully digital

One interesting thing about certain CA is that they bear a very close equivalence to certain pseudo RNG systems like shift register. E.g. GoL on a constrained grid with the starting state equal to the seed.

I once made the mistake of putting an unguarded comment section on my now defunct blog. Within days, it was stuffed to the gills with tentacle porn links. There were no readers, just spam. I dropped the comments table and never went back.
