It’s pretty incredible for an illegal drug to be more commonly used than a legal one.

I’m becoming pretty alarmed at cannabis smoking/vaping causing endothelial dysfunction. Alcohol is hilariously bad even relative to most drugs, but at some point we’re going to have to start examining cannabis on its own and it’s not t

Stalin would object and claim it was Japan that started the war, and he signed Molotov-Ribbentrop because the allies were purposefully giving Germany a long leash and appeasing them and Japan so they could go around thrashing people and bec

I recall Zhukov didn’t think they could have won without the Wests help in supplying things like Steel, regardless of machismo from later USSR leaders who claimed they always had it all under control. FDRs death was gravely mourned in the

I have no idea if there’s a granular object permission that could give access to the MBR of a disk. I’ve thankfully never had to dig that deep into Windows internals. I’ve had to work with SDDL before to setup granular permissions for WMI

You call that a workaround but it’s basically the best possible situation security-wise. If this didn’t work securely then it wouldn’t be possible to implement disk defragmenter or even explorer. It’s so core to Windows NT’s security mode

They’ve been swinging around a bat a while lot, I haven’t seen them hit the ball much less knock out of the park. At most they’re scaring the pitcher with erratic behaviour.

I think the most cut and dry situations is which they capture concentrated emissions from something like an O&G refinery or a cement plant, since it's an effort which ONLY exists for the sake of reducing emissions. Even some of the

How do you suppose, keeping in mind we're trying to avoid emitting carbon in the process, and keeping in mind 3 of them have nukes, we're to disallow BRICS from building coal plants? It's also simply the case that if all Co2

I suppose that might be more related to left wing populism as embodied by the German Greens who worked for decades to get nuclear energy out of Germany. Also because the plants would have had to be decommissioned anyways and modern nuclear

I saw the point of things of the carbon tax as flattening a plateau more than stopping co2 emission growth. I never really had any delusions about that being politically viable, I can't even convince most around me that it's wort

I'm pretty firmly in the latter camp. Carbon credits essentially measure how much co2 emissions were prevented by the carbon credits existing. Not only is that pretty much impossible to measure, every company offering carbon credits

What do you still use without HiDPI support? It's been a long time since most of the market moved from <110ppi monitors. There's enormous quantities of 1080p 14" laptops, those are almost as HiDPI as this.

It’s not like DLC, you had it right at first, it’s a demo. Games have their own equivalents, including literal tech demos, which often abound after a new console releases. It’s not quite as evil as DLC.
