Where is that option for LG TVs? I don't think I've ever seen it, but my LG TV is a few years old now so it might not have it yet.

This specific user has been suspended multiple times on different sites of the SE network. I don't know exactly how often.

1 year suspensions are not handed out for first offenses. The guidelines for mods are to give escalating suspensions for 7/30/365 days, so this is most likely at least the third suspension for this user.

Simple monoliths are much easier to reason about and debug. And the costs are much easier to estimate. Serverless functions are quite interesting for certain use cases, but those are mostly additions to the main application. I'd hesita

This specific user has a very long history on SO and the rest of the network. You have to assume that this history might have played a part in the decision to suspend instead of only warning.

This query has a flaw, it does not count deleted questions at all. You can still query deleted questions via the Stack Exchange Data Explorer, see this example for a rewritten query: https://data.stackexchange.com/stackoverf

Removing greetings and thanks is commonly done on SO, this wasn't a single user deciding that. This custom is a bit weird if you first encounter it, the main idea is that the questions should be put into a format that is most useful to

You'd probably put me in that crowd, but I think it is a very valid objection. "ultra-processed" is in my opinion a far too large and diverse group to yield good scientific results. It may be a reasonable starting point for i

The problem for new life with a different chirality would be that it would have to compete with the existing organisms. And the existing ones are already far, far more optimized than any new kind of life would be. So this is not comparable

Not familiar with the UK version, but these kinds of regulations usually apply to personal bank accounts and do not require extending any credit. So you'd only get a basic bank account that cannot be overdrawn, nothing more.

There is a huge amount of protection for renters, a lot of things are simply illegal to put into the rental agreement and are automatically void. I really have no idea what you're talking about here.

This is certainly not universal in the EU. And one of the main problems with this in the US is that you lose your health insurance when you lose your job. You don't lose it in Germany when you lose your job, who pays for it changes tho

Is traffic generally much more expensive in the US than in Germany? This seems to be a US-only change and I'm wondering a bit about the reasoning here and whether to expect this to also change in other regions.

The people active on Twitter are a small subset of "the real world", and the move to BlueSky is certainly very noticeable there. About 80-90% of people I was following on Twitter have a Bluesky account now, most of them are active

It's not just leftists. My Twitter feed had a large number of military experts in it since the start of the war against Ukraine. Almost all of them are posting on Bluesky now, and they're certainly not a leftwing group. I think an

I liked the idea of a language with minimal syntax that is easy to learn and easy to understand because the code is forced to be straightforward. It didn't work out that way to me in practice. It's a bit too low level for many use

.NET Core web apps have no synchronization context anymore, which is exactly what you're asking for if I understand you correctly. There is no need to call ConfigureAwait there. I think this is different for GUI apps, but I have no exp

In C# you'd use a Channel for this, which is pretty easy to use. But of course that is built on top of async/await, with those alone it is far from trivial to implement your specific case.

It is quite annoying for older codebases in C# that have a lot of existing sync code, but for new code it doesn't matter all that much. You use async methods for IO and DB access and in many applications this means that most of the met
