I think it's more that Birdwatch/Community Notes, which gets a lot of feature-love from Valley types, is already being weaponized to the point of failure. In the absence of any other moderation, this is leading Twitter into a dark

The study is about duration of deep sleep, not quality. And that's an easy one, you can increase the amount of deep sleep with cannabis. > Cannabis users demonstrated significantly longer sleep latency and less REM sleep overall; no

If that were true birth rates in places like Japan, with chronically depressed real estate values, would be skyrocketing over time. But it doesn't seem to be the case: more educated people appear to be less apt to have children.

If they choose not to host a platform that they don't like, isn't that free speech? Ironically, appealing to authority to enforce an internet service provider to provide speech they don't want to transmit seems like an imposi

There is not a country in the world that does not believe some forms of speech are worth censoring. In most of the world, CSAM is treated similarly because they don't believe people should spread depraved images of other humans being h

Are you thinking of cafestol? Cafestol and kahweol are lipophilic terpenes that are normally lost in filtration. They are thought to be cardiotoxins that contribute to the premature deaths of elderly unfiltered coffee drinkers. [1] [1] htt

Hydraulics don't get hot while in use unless you introduce air into the system, in which case they do get hot and explosive. This is called hydraulic dieseling and microdieseling. The passengers would have been surrounded by oxygen and

Yeah, it would be curious (if morbid) to see what happens to something like an animal carcass. In most cases of submarine failure at depth e.g. the USS Scorpion no bodies are ever found.

That accident was only 132 psi. A diesel engine causes combustion at around 300-500 psi. This accident was 3000-6000 psi, so I think it's safe to assume that the organic matter would combust almost instantly.
