Do you not link to your credit card/bank (respect if you don't want to, of course) - I use YNAB and only check it once a week or so and mostly just edit the names of new merchants and double-check categories of the new transaction

I started with Actual but moved to YNAB. 1) Imports from our credit cards automatically or from a CSV/Quicken/etc. file 2) Supports entering transactions manually when you can't or don't want to link to a bank 3) Support

Thank you for filling in the gaps, So they delete everything they have under your name and the lab retains a copy of your sample and the sample results? On paper, this is sufficient because a sample + results is no more useful to someone ne

Making claims like this requires evidence. You can claim that they might mishandle your data due to incompetence, but claiming that they are illicitly selling it is a whole other thing. They say they provide your data to (to various level

The raw data wasn't leaked, and the data changes over time when other users join. Many people expect this. 23&Me allows you to delete your data and your account if you no longer want to participate.

Yes, I understand that biometric data can be acquired… The biometric data does not alone get you into an account with a passkey. You still need the device/account that the passkey is stored on.

A passkey does not contain and is not derived from biometric data, so one cannot login to an account using biometric data alone. If one wanted to use biometric data to access a Google Account secured with a passkey, one would: 1. Need to fi

Good news that you can’t bring someone’s face to google and ask for access to their account… Please don’t insert commentary when it’s clear you don’t know what you’re talking about

This has nothing to do with your face is the simple answer. If your platform uses face scanning, you can read how it protects you from that. For FaceID on iOS, it uses additional sensors beyond just a camera.

Yeah, if you don't have Optimize Storage enabled then any backup software will be sufficient. If you don't have enough local storage you need to be more mindful.

No, if you have Time Machine backups your fine (also if you don't have optimize storage - Time Machine may not back up files that aren't locally stored, regardless of sync provider)

It's kinda a VPN. Tailscale on its own is a mesh network that allows your devices to communicate (in a VPN, technically, yes) between themselves. If you have an exit node, then you can route your traffic to that exit node in the way mo

This blog post isn't just for using it as an exit node. Traveling with the Apple TV and using Tailscale lets you exit-node back to your house. Traveling without the Apple TV and the exit-node can be your Apple TV.

If you don't want to upgrade on day one, it's totally fine to wait - but once 17.1 is available I would recommend everyone upgrades. Most issues will be fully resolved.
