No B2B customer really cares what technology underpins a business. They never have, and they never will. They care about two things: does it help them save money, or does it help them make money? And does it do either of those things better

It depends on what we're talking about. My number one motivator is providing for my family. But I also don't like change and I have strong internal motivation, so I naturally resist giving up on things almost to a fault. I tend to

The biggest lever in SaaS is, really, just staying alive, especially when cash-constrained e.g. when bootstrapping. Time in market fixes a lot -- your product gets better, your messaging improves, your market starts trusting you more, and w

Some cool scaling stuff [0] [1] coming out for pg lately. Looking forward to seeing what PS builds here, I've been a big fan for awhile. Would love more details tbh, but will be watching regardless. [0]: https://supabase.com

Totally agree. For me, with a vanilla Rails app, I leaned on Sidekiq to handle webhook queueing, processing, and retries: https://keygen.sh/blog/how-to-build-a-webhook-system-in-rail... It's scaled quite well. Bil

I don't understand the whole bit on taxes. You have no authority i.r.t. taxation, and so I assume you mean your -- i.e. the platform's -- cut, so that type of "tax" verbiage is strange to me. Also, your site doesn't

I was recently looking for something like this to share some fun screenshots of a new UI. Would be cool to see some depth of field or bokeh effects.

I think the complexity lies in the dance required to push blobs to the registry. I've built an OCI-compliant pull-only registry before and it wasn't that complicated.

But isn't this kind of like saying your logins to Blizzard and Activision should actually be the same underlying user? Doesn't make sense, and becomes an authz nightmare, imo.

Take the biggest man-in-the-middle on the internet: Cloudflare. It terminates TLS and can modify requests or responses between client and server. Signatures prevent proxies, good and bad, from doing that without consequence.
