   Whether there is misunderstanding by the grandparent post or not, in practice there are a lot of people who do just play with ?/! until they manage to get code to compile and then hope for the best. You can see it all over the place

   Agreed, but having said that there are a lot of people developing for iOS who never made the switch due to past language instability and continued poor quality tooling. Outside of iOS I don’t think it’s made a dent and I would be surprised

   In some cases you can block withdrawals from accounts. I’ve done so after my information was compromised via the Equifax hack. I managed to lock things down as hard as I can and in at least one case (either Vanguard or Fidelity I forget) it
