Or performance per watt in server land. Which is a metric that zen 2 dominates in. Very few applications truly care about maxing performance at all costs.

Am I the only one reading this article with the take away that the ai is not his primary reason for retirement? I understand that the title has its own conclusion but it seems overly sensational to me. > He actually quit the KBA in May 2

I was thinking more along the lines of hardware manufacturers implementing a secure enclave style of signing files as they're recorded. The sig could be tagged with location/date if available, but at least the video would be verif

The only answer here is drm esque file signing. Any attempts at detecting fakes will only work while the tech is young. Ofc this requires a web of trust and verification techniques to be applied, since videos are often re encoded.

Here in the southern US, it's mostly a status symbol that people delude themselves into thinking they have a utility need for. Typically people here will have at most 5-6 true needs for one each year, and deal with horrible gas economy

I'm reminded of top gear's Geoff [1]. It's that concept car angularity that makes you believe that it could be manufactured in a shed, if only it had a frame. [1] https://pics.imcdb.org/0ge20/206146-Geoff

I'm not sure if the compiler is smart enough to do it for you, but you might be able to squeak a bit more performance by precomputing a partial sum (data + V_LEN - 1) outside the loop for this statement: > v_load(data + offset + V_L

Hopefully this stands (or gets challenged and reaffirmed in a higher court). This is a tiny step in the right direction when it comes to the border search exception, which has been upheld in the supreme court [1, 2]. Also commonly known as

Just a word of caution. Although this is generally true at the moment, AMD's definition of TDP has nothing to do with electrical power or heat output. It's just a marketing number that happens to come close to electrical power. He

Nope, with 1 possible caveat. Amd doesn't have support for avx512 instructions in any of their cpus as far as I know, but avx512 is very uncommon. Most of the Intel chips don't even support avx512. This won't be a "it wo
