The book mentioned by Oliver Sacks on hallucinations looks interesting. I have to say that one of my favourite neuroscience books has to be, "The Man who Mistook his Wife for a Hat" by the aforementioned Dr. Oliver Sacks. http://www.amazon

I think there are a lot of exaggerations in this. > In the last decade Google invented the web. > They built an amazing cloud infrastructure that if it's not 'running' the internet today, there's a good change it will in the future

I used to be an Apple store employee in the Family room (where the devices get fixed). In fact I used to work as the exact employee who mainly checked people in for their appointment. The store I worked in had an extremely high volume of pe

Almost all the photo filters that I've come across in apps other than instagram, have sucked! For example the filters in Path really look a lot less impressive. I'm not sure what it is, but I presume its just the detail that instagram put i

Sorry for going off topic but, I hadn't seen the nextweb new design before. I found it quite disorientating, there is so much orange "stuff". I just didn't know where to look.

I'm interested in knowing why your post implies that its not useful. I would like to know if its worth reading as I've just added it to Read It Later. EDIT: Please correct me if you didn't mean to come across that way, it's just the last co

Tend to do general tidying all throughout the day. Its normally if you walk past and nobody is using it/requires attention then just straighten it up a little bit. There is no set time during the day where everyone adjusts the display thoug

Apple store employee here. This indeed does happen although after a while you get pretty good at judging a 70 deg angle without an app. From anecdotal experience, it really does make a massive difference in the level of interaction customer

Science as whole (especially maths, physics and chemistry) is quite inflexible when it comes to tolerating extremely small mistakes. I what you're really describing is the process of logical analysis, being able to look at something complet

Weight is also saved by using Oxygen instead of heavy metals to donate electrons. Using oxygen (Mr 16) over lead (Mr ~207) will be the main source of weight save.

No I get that and like I said I think its really impressive! But, I think that the controls detract from properly delivering the message (and it would be much more enjoyable to use if movement was less fiddly).

Impressive but the controls really let it down. Moving around made me feel sea sick with the room spinning everywhere. The cursor needs to be fixed to the centre of the screen (as in traditional fps's) and not have some sort of momentum whe

This type of legislation clearly stems from ignorance and a lack of understanding. It infuriates me that people can make judgements like this without actually understanding what they are making judgements on.

This is exciting. It shows how different Google is to Microsoft and other companies that produce these "future product" videos. Google appears to have made real world progress, rather than just a great marketing video. I can't wait to find

iOS devices have had there tactile interaction down since the beginning. They are so responsive compared to Android devices (from my experience), and so I don't see where Apple could have improved in this area.
