And it would be difficult to 'aerosolize' the powder injection into the combustion chamber and all sorts of problems. It would take a fundamentally different design. But it's still a fun thought :)

Very cool stuff, regardless of how it turns out. It claims 'good' energy density and 40% roundtrip efficiency. How does its energy density compare to existing liquid fuels? Naturally, I'm wondering what an iron powder fueled

In the context of the Löwenheim–Skolem theorem and "Skolem's Paradox", what does it mean for 'the domain of a model to be countable'? My only guess is that the number of 'objects and/or relations' in

I see. wf-recorder is specific to wlroots, etc. I suppose I'm sad that these things weren't upstreamed to the core protocol/reference impl sooner so there was less churn.

What is holding Wayland back? Was the core protocol just not created with many basic features in mind?

The core technology is in place and scales. We're drudging through the necessary steps of bank account, payment processor, account management, etc now. If we were working full time on it, maybe a month? But we're not and the holid

Many, many projects will (in theory) unless there is specific licensing that open sources the APIs. If Oracle wins, laws will change because it is a fundamentally incompatible position for our industry.

I think you're drastically overestimating how much money would be available per project and underestimating the cost of accessibility.

Accessibility would probably be the biggest difficulty that might be legally required through poorly interacting laws. (Not to say that things shouldn't be accessible, but we've already seen good-will gestures ruined because of th

I meant variant for the same instruction. Is expect a divide to be slower than an add but I wasn't sure if a single instruction would have a range.

Are instructions typically variable in the number of cycles it takes? If, as the article claims, pop is truly aliased to ldm, then I'd expect it to be very fast.

Imagine if you could sell to a company an accurate estimate for the number of times your brand is mentioned in a zip code in a month. I would imagine the profits from that dwarf the hardware costs of some antennas (that the consumer pays th
