I've recently started getting into computational archaeology and found the entire ecosystem is built around R, meaning I am now starting to learn about it. Anyone have a suggestion of the standard books/courses one should start wi

Thanks for your response! So is it true to say every genome could be sequenced, assuming time and money isn’t an issue?

What’s the choke point of scanning an entire genome? Is it purely computational? Imaging? Biological unknowns?

If you're a researcher in the field is it not a fundamental skill to be able to make these judgement calls yourself? And if wasted time is a concern to you, what makes you think others would be willing to put in the time to try and con

I think it’s very very hard to judge what a child of someone like Steve Jobs can be capable of or do in isolation of that fact such that it’s a useless comparison.

Note that this is even more interesting/impressive based on OPs age: “I am a 13 year old developer who likes writing libraries, webservers, and command line apps.”

A white paper was sent to a small group of people in 2008, yes. But the group that acted on that is a subset of those people, that consists of maybe Hal Finney, Craig White, whoever Satoshi is, and a couple others. It's an extraordinar

I had a 16-core desktop and moved to the M1 Max and am just as happy - nothing kills it. PostgreSQL docker containers, intensive CPU scripts running, maybe a Minikube cluster, Slack, Chrome, RStudio, and I can still watch 4k video. It'

Say Amazon Gaming runs a promotional NFT for an MP5 across both CoD and Battlefield. CoD and Battlefield teams both implement the MP5 and include them as a legendary drop in Lootboxes. If you get the NFT in either CoD or Battlefield it auto

Well for one, it lets you have a store with txs and accounts for free with little code! It’s like a framework for money, and would let you trade items across games so for example I could buy a gun in CoD for a party hat in RuneScape or what

It might be worth mentioning I was using ERC-721 tokens in 2018 and worked on one of the top 10 chains for a few years, before that I worked with Unity but for architecture (digital twins) rather than games. So I’m not a total novice here.
