    Recently moved from Google Cloud (8x less price - 4x more power) and we got ~100kb/s of constant traffic from countries like china. fail2ban usually locks me for day or two until i disabled password-based auth and fail2ban.

    Well this explains a lot. In my university (Russia, Mathematic-Mechanic faculty of SPBu) there are a lot of investments in computer vision stuff and it it almost impossible to build fast and with low TDP software for CV without SDP/FPG

    In Russia, Saint-Petersburg fiber is in every home. In one year (i guess) government remove old phone and replace it with fiber + router in almost every apartment in the city. I think doing fiber is not that hard if you need to make it.

    How we can connect by IP address? In Telegram and in Actor we have done direct connection by IP because many public networks have very bad DNS servers. Also banning by host name is much easier than by IP address and avoid government censors
