I generally won't tip If the POS screen start at 20% and makes me do a "custom" amount to leave less. Its slightly embarrassing hunting around to give a 0 tip but maybe they'll eventually get the hint.

Yes, that's the way. Just need to build modularly so things can eventually be broken out.

Yes. Also there may be much better bass amp simulators out there, but the ones that come with logic don't come anywhere close to the sound I get direct from my Mesa TT-800.

I don't know. I just listened to some it examples on the web and the cleanish sounds still don't match the sound of a real amp to my ears. Although if was in a cover band, I'd definitely use one since it can cover so many dif

Back in the record days, I would record the first play of the record to tape, and then listen to the tape so that the record stayed in good condition.

Not sure what you mean by colour space but you should be able to tell it the type of instrument to play.

Totally agree about returning a 5XX error. In my app that would be a single RetryableException back to the caller instead of the internal db error.

I can't agree with any of these points. 1. You don't know which exceptions will be raised in advance. Anything that involves IO can fail in a plethora of ways, and you don't even know which calls involve IO (e.g. a library mi

The article talks about solving that exact issue by wrapping all of those different exceptions so that you don't have to deal with them. Much easier to catch a single ThirdPartyInternalFailure exception than catch all the internal exce

Most cars aren't that interesting so making them invisible with different shades of gray makes sense. Beautiful looking cars deserve nice colors though. I would never buy a gray Porsche.

Peronally I like non-flake colors. They remind me of cars from the 50's and 60s. Hope the trend continue but with more vibrant colors instead of gray gray gray.

Glad to hear it. Employers treated their workers like cattle, stuffing them together into ever shrinking spaces. I'll never go back to that torture.

Nah, its just what happens when you have a kid. I was exposed all the time commuting to work on public transit. Once my kid got into preschool I was sick for months at a time.

I want to be able to define generics on methods, not just functions.

Not sure generics are amazing. I wish I could do something like addresses := persons.map(func(p Person) Address {p.address}) Actually what I really want is addresses := persons.map(p => p.address) But I understand Go doesn't allow t

I tried the latest version of Java. Unfortunately, it still feels very clunky. They need to add the ability specify functions directly instead of as classes. ex: BiConsumer<T,U>

I don't see anything in the docs about cancelling a standard function. Maybe internally Go represents a function as some type of future but for all practical purposes, it looks to me like a function in Go is just as synchronous as as a
