Its only hard to read because you don't know the language, otherwise, its fairly straightforward. Although the Applicative type would require some research. I would much rather use a language like this, that can create enough abstracti

How much would it cost for a top of the line desktop running OS X vs a mac mini?

I bought a mac mini with 8gb ram for $650. It significantly outperforms my company macbook pro which cost almost $3k. I run logic, docker, intellij, and it never complains about not enough memory.

What about a third option. Write a design doc so there's feedback about the approach before coding begins?

That's the low level details loom takes care of for you. It maps the fibers onto threads and keeps the os threads active even if your fiber is blocked.

"It's not noise if you can understand every line written though. " It can still just be noise. Have you never seen getters and setters in Java? Error handling in Go is mostly just noise a well. I mean manually wrapping errors

You can have millions of loom threads. Why do they need to be async?

▲

Loom is just lightweight threads so you don't have to use third party async libraries to get better performance.

People in their 40's typically have huge financial obligations and money becomes a primary concern. Companies like Facebook pay well above the industry average.

The Go codebase I'm working on is terrible about mutation. structs get passed into functions which then may mutate them or pass them to yet another function which mutates them. Its impossible to understand what is going just by looking

How would you deal with employees that were in a different office? What about offshore contractors? I find it hard to believe that managers need to see people together in a physical space to be effective.

Main problem I had with lombok is that it was too flexible, causing me to have to read all the annotations on a class. Kotlin data classes are implemented a single way so I don't need to grok them individually.
