My guess is they underestimated the number of viewers and didn't have enough bandwidth prepared.

SQ used to fly a non-stop LAX/EWR to SIN flight with 100 business class only seats. I've been on it once and it was filled maybe 40%. They killed the route last year. Edit: See Eos Airlines.

Not sure what the return policy is where you're located. But in the US, I'd just return it within the 14 days and get the new model.

I wonder if the government can be fined for violation of PCI. Or perhaps the airline companies for providing it to the gov't in the first place.

The company books would probably just show a loan. Then he could loan/repay the company with his winnings.

Agree... Something like that would be much better in the form of a library that companies can integrate into their code.

If you ship an entire crate over, you'll most certainly trigger any import duties there are.

If you don't deliver before 4 weeks, chances are all the credit card pre-authorizations would be void anyways. With Stripe, it's even shorter. Unless you plan on capturing the funds at order time instead of shipment time?

Just as long as they keep the unlimited free overseas texting and data, and not raise the prices!

It's mostly the import taxes... A Ferrari 458 will run you almost 720K USD (about 3x of what it is in the US). And you see them quite frequently.

Still is. In fact you don't even need a car to get around the country. People there get a car because they can.

100K USD only gets you a Toyota. Double that for an E-class.

Wait till you see Singapore's COE prices... To get a car there, you first pay 50-60K USD for a certificate, then you can go to the dealership and buy your car.

@pc: You guys should allow authorizations to last much longer than 7 days. PayPal allows up to 30 days before expiration.

If you don't have any need to save the customer and card for subsequent charges, then I believe (on Stripe) you can simply pass the token to the payment object API, eliminating 2 of your 4 steps.
