It's all supposed to be in the contract. If it's not, then the most likely court scenario is that the IP is owned by the client, creator would have rights to display it, but their work would be considered a service.

It actually happens quite a bit... I was just the slightest bit startled when even my fiancée suggested it like it was nothing. "It's better than being late, they'll get it back..."

Yep. The only downside is that if a policeman is in a bad mood you may get stopped and checked to make sure you aren't a thief. Only heard of it happening to foreigners (not myself though) but it's a good idea to keep a card in your wallet

I don't expect this topic to go very far, but for the record every time I read it I can't help but think it says Dr. Chronic . It's not Jay and Silent Bob (at least not the Dr. part) but I swear I've seen it in a movie or something. (googl

I don't see any reason why LESS/SASS wouldn't work, provided they've ported the majority of the actual spec (comparable at least to any browser out there). Since they simply compile your code into longform CSS it doesn't actually leave any

I have mixed feelings about this... 1) Why in the hell would anyone want more CSS floating around their codespace? Note: This is partially addressed in "Doesn’t CSS Suck for Apps?" 2) If this becomes a thing, does that mean that everyon

Do you think it might have to do with the specific countries you're in? I've never had an issue with Apple on this but that's from living in Japan and bouncing back and forth between the US/Japan stores. On the other hand, Google usually

Better? I don't know about that... Amusing though, with plenty of potential. I imagine at some point things won't stay so vertical and begin to branch out, and it would be interesting if you could start showing multiple timelines side-by-si

>Now in Japan they will begin jailing people for something as harmless as viewing a copyrighted work on fucking Youtube. Well... we'll see how that pans out. I've never had any problems myself, though the new rules only just kicked in.

It's a pretty big fine in NY (headphones) that's actually enforced. Also illegal in most cities AFAIK.

My very very unscientific personal test from earlier today ( http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4423422 ) ended up showing pretty similar results. Ultimately it died about an hour or two before it "should", but it's a noticeable improvemen

Completely agree. In some cases it can work for you, i.e. an exciting class doesn't bog you down and lets you use your extra time to experiment , but there are plenty of classes where it just leaves you wanting more (firing up the Googles)

So, here's a question for those who actually have one of these mega-res displays... how's the terminal? Or any other typically aliased text? Secondly, how well does it work in a dual/2+ boot situation? Obviously other systems have the drive
