My 2C.. Our system doesn't provide the testing and data to make accurate, choices to build upon. We are at the mercy of over worked Drs, who look at basic tests, and often just have a minute to review at most. Our health is bound to th

While this comment is funny, it's also arrogant and incorrect. It's not fair to indict folks trying to change lives based on what's needed to drive pageviews, ie attention grabbing headlines. 30 seconds of research provides a

Gary Illyes @goog said this was happening Q1 this year, and like others mentioned lots of other direct/indirect signals have pointed this way. http://searchengineland.com/google-may-discontinue-ajax-craw... March 5th:

The article is published on Cult of Mac. The blogs audience is most likely only interested in Apple related news and events. For its target audience it is perfectly acceptable to present Apples role, even being a minor player.

Google is already working to attribute authors to content, think of it as PersonRank. With verified real people (they are getting many signals for this such as android, chrome, checkout, places, voice, plus, etc) they may be able to combat

Agree, though reputation rank may mitigate some of this behavior when implemented. The urls +1 profile distribution may end up looking like a typical back link profile and something most SEOs should try and balance.

I am surprised no one has mentioned this yet: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2010/03/googles-s... Google recently published an internal SEO audit. The report is more or less a blueprint of what you should follow on an on-site

All valid points on the SEO stuff. One thing to keep in mind is that the age of the url is important too. One thing I would point out is that everything else being equal a good domain name will generally get more clicks. The higher CTR will

The issue to me is between these two things: Alienate potential users versus allowing the mainstream crowd to alter the community. Digg and Reddit are prime examples of what eventually happens once sites become mainstream. To determine the
