"Nothing I'd buy a new one for." Exactly my thought. I'll continue to use (and love) my Kindle Keyboard everyday. This makes me worry about Amazon's future in the ereader space. The Touch is gone, replaced with this for $139 sans offers. Th

I saw this and thought the exact same thing! Super excited to test it out upon release. The other nice thing about FF for devs is that Chrome is a little too robust sometimes. I've had some egregious errors in my markup and Chrome still man

Over 24 hours and haven't been arrested yet. Muhahaha. No one ever expects the Corinthians. The UK tweet thing was a crazy overreaction, yes. In all honesty though... wouldn't you be kinda surprised if law enforcement wasn't monitoring soci

Trying to legally define what is and is not a valid financial transaction coming in and out of Iran is a fool's errand. There's these things called commodity markets, and most everything is a commodity (more or less liquid) that can be boug

Why in the world would any body spend hours(days?) hunting all these basic plugins which are must have for today's software development needs? These plugins are "must haves" if you are used to using an IDE. But they are not prereq

I hope so. The trick would be, after there is a cache of the Internet on Mars, to only have to send the changes, not the whole Internet again. Straight snapshots would probably be the only viable option though. And maybe make the policy, on

While we are dreaming, it would be better to have said flash drive picked up by a spacestation, refueled in orbit, and shot back to Mars. Hmm. If storage continues to improve as fast as it has been, once the space infrastructure is there, t

IANAL but you are right from the basic premise: “If a Law Isn't Public, It Isn't a Law”—Justice Stephen Breyer But I believe the distinction here is that just because the law is public, that doesn't mean that you can call up anyone who has

All Germans I have ever met have had excellent English. Certainly good enough to read short English commits with only the occasional dictionary reference required. The Eurobarometer report from 2006 says 56% of Germans speak English. But I

It's very common in Portland at least. Any night of the week within any three mile radius there's a bar somewhere hosting trivia. It's just people who come to a normal bar once a week and play trivia. Think Jeopardy with teams and booze.
