More data would be nice to have. In lieu of that, I enjoyed Scott Adams' verdict on gender bias: http://blog.dilbert.com/post/114055529676/my-verdict-on-gend...

That passage is meant to keep you from worrying, not from working. Later on there's this: "Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands."

Liberal arts majors (especially art majors) probably work harder than CS majors in many cases. I still think they would wash out of a STEM major. Not for lack of intelligence, but just because they're not wired that way. They'd be

I may be completely misinformed, but I think you meant to say there's too much entropy. A binary string of all ones followed by all zeroes has very low entropy, while a purely random binary string has high entropy. (I think. I'm

Just this past year GoDot went open source. Haven't delved too deep into it, but it looks professional, scriptable, and "actually open source" (i.e. they accept pull requests) https://github.com/okamstudio

There's definitely room for competition. Most recently we've got Wix and Squarespace, but again they target the end user rather than developers. I think most people are willing to shell out a bit more for a local developer rather

I'm a big fan of the "email-only" login. Type your email address, hit login, switch to your email app, click the link, and you're logged in forever. If you don't have a password manager, it's probably what you

This comment is entirely too wise and reasonable for me to endorse. I need things in black and white. Garbage collection bad! Technical debt bad! Modularity good!

You pretty much nailed it. I store data in a bastardized octree, more or less. I break the world into chunks to facilitate culling. I check the bounding box of each chunk against the view frustum. There are generally under 100 chunks in vie

I'd love to, but no plans for it currently. I did contribute some code to MonoGame[1] a while back which opens some exciting cross-platform possibilities. It requires a lot more development before it will support Lemma though. So, &quo

Sorry, my snarky comment was more aimed at the linux problem of driver installation and configuration complexity, and lack of drivers entirely. I'm way unqualified to comment on the quality of individual drivers.
