Basically, all the people talking about its just the downtrodden trying to get by are trying to score political points, when the core issue is that the repeat criminals are not) insufficiently disincentivized. 15 percent might be a sizable

Whatever their problems, their results are pretty damn consistent. League of Legends remains the premier e-sport, dethroning all competitors in viewership rates and numbers. Valorant is rapidly rising, and threatens the long-incumbent direc

Unfortunately, it already is. See the looting =reparations that was common on social media during the blm riots. Similarly, the "fuck the corporations, it's just property" crowd that was really prevalent on reddit then. Those

Oversimplifications like this are a fantastic way to avoid the core issues. Harvesting said ball of energy isn't free. Solar tech and near future power infra is certainly not at the maturity level for this, especially when the consumer

They're not. Asics are more a function of the coin being mined. Namely, if asics are out and competitive, they generally replace gpus altogether as they're both more powerful and efficient. See btc, where gpu mining is completely

The academic community is pretty opposed to the trump administration, which also is the one blamed for the covid response. Don't see why they'd be bending over to defend it there.

This sounds like cooking the metrics to me. If the police aren't making the arrests at all, sounds like someone up there is trying exceedingly hard to prevent this.

I think the opposite. More linguistic diversity in FLOSS means less accessibility. having a universal standard here means that if you want to contribute, you learn exactly ONE language, which also happens to be the so-called global language

There's also the risk of severe overfitting to some latent variable. I haven't quite dug into the work itself yet, but it does bring back memories of some case of perfect diagnosis due to hospital documentation process though.

Generally you'd start with the common, easier problem before you delve into the abnormal cases. There are probably better ways to do that, like looking at bloodwork.

For 3 and 4, good luck. The verdict is in, and server side anti cheat has decidedly lost. The issue here is that cheat prevention is defense in depth. Drop a couple layers and your cheater rate rapidly rises. Doesn't take much from the

Mind you, there's a delicate balancing game here though. Slower vaccines, even if more optimal, come with their own costs.

If there's something I've realised about the hn gestalt, it's that any anecdote in favour of wfh is taken as true by default, while any critique of wfh is assumed to be bunk unless absolutely faultness.

We're locking down because of a single cluster. Slightly more lenient than the first, but our government is probably just being a bit paranoid here. With the vaccines round the corner though, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Not quite, that paper is pretty misleading if you're using it as a rock solid rejection of the $1000 genome. First, context: These are small scale clinical/experimental settings which clearly do not take advantage of economies of
