Pretty sure I read a while ago that Zynga's corporate HQ which they bought was now worth more than their business. Or maybe it was some other company with no long-term competitive advantage.

I think they're too trendy looking. They'll be fine for a season/uni semester, but after that will drop out of fashion. And they'll be too pricey for their core demographic to keep buying new ones.

The guy's running a business. He has a responsibility to his shareholders to make it as valuable as he can. Sticky apps/web sites lead to more ad impressions and higher prices. His business does not give people cancer or HIV.

I've been teaching myself piano after someone gave me one. Here's a great set of online lessons [1] (not free, costs about $20 per month if you put in your email address). The guy is really talented, and teaches non-classical stuf
