Yeah I've been looking at this recently. I like autowire's ability to create typesafe APIs shared across the client and server. Very promising, but not simple to set up... http://www.lihaoyi.com/hands-on-scala-js&#

Other companies were offering this service anyway. It's only natural AirBnB would want to provide that service themselves and take a cut. You're complaining about how things scale. If there's an opportunity to make money by d

It does seem too obvious, and the comment seems to be pointing somewhere else like you say. What do you mean about the compressed size? There are no hidden chunks in the file, and the image data chunk when inflated is 60147 bytes, vs 1270 c

I'm a bit disappointed there aren't any hidden chunks that take advantage of the PNG format :-( Uncompressed it's just a binary message of 2 pixel colours, so unless that comment at the end is pointing somewhere else then it&

Yeah, I understand they want to try to monetise, but now it looks like you have to pay. They're pushing 'specialisations' which contain several courses and a project, but it's only because I've been using it for a

Actually I meant something like how Intellij has DB integration, so you could put in your host & port and connect to the DB to help you write queries etc.

It depends on what you're having manufactured. I was thinking of original products. But I'd be doing it more to learn about supply chains, manufacturing, etc. and the problems people face. Plus, some of those sites support plugins

I always just audit the courses. I'm doing them for my benefit, not for a certificate. I might buy the lecturers' book though as a thank you. Pro tip: Use the mobile app, download the videos and watch them at 2x speed to save time

Interesting. I've just been reading about using alibaba with freight forwarders and shopify to create online shops where you can sell on Amazon. This might make it even easier.

This looks awesome. I've made several attempts at something that could write encrypted files with obfuscated file names to several backends but never ended up with something I was happy with. I'll definitely give this a try. Edit:

Perhaps the difference is being a first mover while the market is establishing itself, before it then gives way to another innovation cycle. I suppose in that case, the key is innovation. So Google would be wise to innovate over the competi

I agree, but I think we're in the minority. FB have kept this simple and it is where it is. Then again, it's not like Google have anything to lose at this point so it just might be the difference that brings people to it...
