The problem really starts when you take in venture capital, not when a possible exit is on the table. Whatsapp was making money, but was that enough for the VCs? Even if it was not burning currently, it might have burned it in the past, so

Android 12 finally has a feature to select approximate location per-app. iOS has supported this for a bit longer, since version 14. The accuracy of the "approximate" location is also much bigger for Android 12 than it is for iOS,

Personally I still prefer the "natural" makeup look over other makeup styles (or nothing) even if I know that it's artificial, and it's likely that the men oblivious to natural makeup existing would react the same, inste

A lot of men who say they don't like makeup actually do like it without knowing. They just know so little about the makeup world that they don't recognize the "natural" look (while still preferring it). So I would take s

There is a big difference between crypto and classical ponzi schemes, that doesn't seem big at first sight but actually is big. To use ETF terminology, the classical ponzi scheme distributes by default, while crypto accumulates by defa

Yes, but you might present some feature differently internally compared to your users. E.g. "Update libfoo" is a totally fine commit message, as you can just inspect the diff to see the version change, but in the changelog, I'

I wonder how you steer that thing. As in, earth is a pretty small target from a few light years away. In the case where you want to visit some planet peacefully, you spend the second half of the journey decelerating so you can do the needed

It depends on the project, but it actually can take 2 or more hours. It can start with getting it to compile in the first place. I've spent days on building C code bases, getting the dependencies there, everything in place, then you wa

I'd argue that Rust is less demanding intellectually than C as you don't have to constantly worry about UB. C is definitely easier to "get into", if by "getting into" you mean writing unmergeable contribution

I wonder how much this statement still holds. I've never used the OCaml bootstrap compiler but performance wise, the rust compiler has improved incredibly since the 1.0 release.

Which totally makes sense. u8 means 256 bytes of addressable memory. You might design chips with such limited memory, but maybe high level (read non assembly) languages are not the right tool for targetting them.
