That only works if you have friends to play both your teammates and the enemy team which is a very tall order. Most people play with strangers overall, and most people who play with friends just have them as teammates against stranger oppon

I actually don't see how "gamification" (adversarial websites exploiting loopholes in ranking) can even result in making ad revenue lower excepting the scenario where it makes Search itself less useful and therefore less used

> Yes, the gamification will be terrible. So what? Is maximal advertising revenue for monopolies societally important? I don't really see how gamification being terrible will only cause ad revenue to drop. Surely it will also make t

I'm curious why you think a "difference in kind" rather than simply "difference in degree" must exist between us and dogs.

I think it depends if a lot of pages start breaking. Right now it's not happening at scale, but I don't see them having any reason not to refork Blink if more "only tested on Chrome" sites start breaking on Safari. I&#

I meant if the bid-ask spread must be minimum 1 cent, then is it true that bid can't be lower than 1 cent as long as ask is semipositive?

Even if Blink and Webkit are separate (and they are still clearly closer than Gecko), we're getting to a Blink monoculture except for the iOS holdout (which is still only ~5% of all traffic, but generally high value and you're pre

They have somewhere around 750 employees still after the layoffs; it's hard to understand your comment that that both says they should have 150 employees but reducing their teams is a bad decision.

I think the issue is you'll only achieve restricting things to cloned licenses instead of arbitrary fakes (which might still be an improvement).

It seems very strange; can a share not be worth less than 1 cent, or can it for ask but not bid?

Right: the grandparent was about north of $500k though which apparently seniors don't make, only higher levels. I'm surprised I was downvoted there?

I think the alarming thing is that it doesn't have a digital signature, meaning that scanning the barcode isn't a useful check if an ID is fake.

I think I'm still missing the gap: hats have value and art has value. Collectors collect certain hats and certain art in a way that is disconnected from their underlying value; it seems like grand-op was legitimate to mention art then,

I find this idea curious; what's different with collecting art than other collecting? As an outsider it appears to be "unique collection syndrome" no different than any other, where the artistic value is present in reproducti

Perhaps the refund-rate is higher on $100 apps than $1 ones? If you find out your kid made an unauthorized purchase of $2 you're not likely to refund it, if its $100 you definitely will.
