Everyone always deludes oneself. Even cynics and realists end up having their own versions of the reality. Also, risk, success, and financial success are completely irrelevant to each other, thus cynical attitude really has nothing to do wi

I agree. It's critical to have a crystal-clear view of the world than wrap yourself with sweet dream. Failing to do so will easily make the one look away from root problems deep in the ground, and concentrate on the surface issues. Cyn

Exactly. The post doesn't make sense at all. Learning is a cycle b/w "tacit knowledge" and "deliberate practice". There's also this chicken-and-egg problem: (1) you can't absorb the knowledge well bec

While the idea of "becoming a cyborg" is a little charming, I don't think injecting NFC is good for anything serious, for now. Actually, it feels more like a security hole, because (1) people are using the same key for ever

The title says fast, but no benches, but the README puts more emphasis on that it’s a more usable solution than LLVM-PTX + Rust. I mean, what’s the point of “fast”, if LLVM-PTX is clunky with rust in the first place?

From my guesses, this is mainly designed for data engineering, where you do run the same operation on a lot of entries. N is very very big, so it will negate the probabilistic nature of the checker. Other than that, this is simply useless.

Yeah, this was the first thing that came across my mind. This is nothing new, and the OP simply didn't do his homework, and learned it hard way. xD

These days, locale alone takes up 100MB of disk space, in case of Debian. Even without it, it's still difficult to go below 50MB, IIRC. Welp, even USB thumb drivers are much larger than that, so it won't be a problem, practically,

I don't get why it has to be ZIP. AFAIK we can already stream tar-gz using only the python standard library. Maybe because Windows still can't unpack TAR out-of-box, 20 years after entering the 21 century?

Yup. NFT in gaming is a total hoax by design. There's just no guarantee that game companies will always accept the changes on the NFT side. It's just a tool to boost stock prices.

Yup, I second this. The whole web3 idea is completely pointless if the ecosystem is designed to be heavily centralized. Everyone is and will be fighting for a pie in the “platform” market. We need decentralization in the application side fi

TBH, compiled general languages are doomed to be complicated, because they need more info during compile-time. The only exception is C (if you don't count stuffs like Lisp). IIRC, C grammar can be easily printed on a single sheet of le

One big mistake is that this is not anime. This is obviously comic-style, which is more realistic, and, in turn, closer to automated filtering. Note that Japanese anime normally uses a much simplified style to increase the production speed.
