While some population decline is probably for the best, we need to stabilize the population at some point. Otherwise there's no foundation for a sustainable civilization.

Well, it's not. In equilibrium, that is. Whatever you mean by it - it's not. What makes you think that these countries will let in the desperate fugitives? No, that won't happen.

It has always been that way. Just have a look at the U.S. imperialism in the 20th century. The strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must. Thus it has always been.

What makes you think we live in a meritocracy? Wealth seems to be accumulating in the hands of already rich families that use that cash to provide their kids with a decent education that includes secret-handshake-introduction to other money

It looks and feels very much like Scala, in my opinion. That's not a bad thing at all.

I tried to read the article but within the first paragraphs it sets up a false dichotomy to sell its point of view. If you need fallacies to sell your argument, obviously something's wrong with your argument.

I don't know what you are talking about. When you are consuming porn you are not stealing. At worst, you're watching content without a licensing agreement. That's not stealing.

I don't think the earth is actually courting flat-earthers. Trump is doing that, and more. He's legitimizing white supremacists.

False balance is to pretend that there is a actually another side to the debate. climate-change denial, Trump's election delusion. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_balance
