You’re being downvoted because this is unhelpful speculation which adds nothing to the discussion - be it true or untrue. If the response to what you say is “OK...”, what you have said is not terribly interesting.

Typically the hacks amount to enabling a feature in the car that you would otherwise have to pay for. For example new BMWs come with seat-heaters in the car, but not available to be used unless an additional fee is paid to unlock them. A &q

Really looking forward to seeing more software hacks on Teslas. It restores what was so great about the height of American muscle cars: people with more knowledge go faster. The commoditization of performance is fantastic - and I love my mo

Indeed - if anything his ego was _accurate_ - he correctly thought of himself as the smartest in the room. The question is, did his success lead to his ego, or did his ego lead to his success? I certainly do not mean to defame him - I pract

Great read. I've always loved Feynman - but the word "ego" might apply. "I was working on problems close to the gods", and his list of solved (and to be fair, unsolved) investigations remind me of his "Surely y

My grandmother always said “if you want to have an unhappy life: just do whatever you want all the time”, and I think about it a lot when finishing a project. The first 50% of any project is so fun - the rest is hard work!

Oh I agree with you - build packs are excellent! It's more about introducing one technology at a time. People who know about cloud native build packs typically don't need help writing dockerfiles or getting going on Kubernetes. On

Yes, but buildpacks and Heroku have a similarity: incredibly simple to do the simple thing, incredibly opaque to do the complex thing. With a dockerfile, people can just install what they need. Sure - it could potentially be more efficient,

Cool! I plan on supporting BuildPacks eventually in my project - unfortunately the goal is teaching developers DevOps best practices and Kubernetes concepts - so build packs is a bit too down the rabbit hole compared to generating a Dockerf

I’m not a .net or java user these days but I love the “guess what’s in a repo and try your best” strategy. I’ve been working on “deploy-node-app” for JavaScript applications that does similar: try to scan for dependencies, services, etc and

Well, _people_ have opinions, and therefore a group _contains_ opinions, but a group itself is incapable of thought - and therefore of forming opinions itself. A political party, like any other group, is simply a big pile of individuals who

Well, crowds don't have opinions. People do. There in no hypocrisy when a group disagrees with itself - it is just people disagreeing with other people.

I think slowthai's "Nothing Great About Britain" is a gold standard of newer artists, but he's hardly under the radar these days. I like noname and Izzie Gibbs a ton too. Check out Pete & Bas for a laugh as well.
