Maybe it has to do with the rise of AI? I think maybe people are turning their attention to that field rather than osdev or langdev. It's not like young people are disinterested in tech but rather captivated by different fields than yo

Thank you! I think building an emulator for a real platform is going to be next on my list. A game console might be interesting to try especially or a 16-bit cpu like you mentioned.
