Nice! No pointers to functions, I see.. not nitpicking, just playing :) I like what you've done here. I'm going to have to go through the code and hopefully learn something new.

and lo, there was much rejoicing throughout the land. Whiteboard coding is a terrible practice that should have died 15 years ago. 1 hour of pair programming on a real computer (even locked down with no network access) should tell you all y

Computers are terrible in situations they have not been programmed to handle. Many aviation accidents are the result of edge and corner cases, sensor failures, unknown engineering flaws, etc that would be hard to account for in software

yeah, I learned this very quickly when I started skiing.. lean back when you feel like you're going too fast and it's out of control time. I overcame that instinct very quickly!

you could also add a seat for when you get tired of standing, and maybe a steering mechanism as well, and a cowling to cut down on wind resistance. I think this idea could disrupt the powered snowboard industry.

It wouldn't, and it would suck fuel like crazy. Fans aren't optimal for low speed thrust.. turbojets even less so :) 2 fans would be much better than 1 jet.

Not exactly. They hire the people who are best at interviewing at google, and they believe their process correlates the 2 things well. I'm not so sure it does, but I am not in HR/recruiting so I haven't studied the problem.

I actually like your list, except for 19/20 which I personally don't care about. I personally believe that benefits should be a la carte.. pick what you want, get cash for ones you don't want. The "free food" thing

30% increase can mean a lot of things.. it's almost certainly not a 30% thrust increase (helpful but not earthshaking) or 30% increase in specific impulse (nobel prize time). From the wording of the quote it sounds like it's proba

There's nothing "progressive" about eliminating nuclear energy. Especially when the goal is more electrical transportation, not less.

Sounds like it, and even worse. They'd probably pull your ticket for doing "commercial"flying with a PPL. I think we may need some case law, so hopefully some millionaire (or lawyer) who likes drone flying can push back again

It won't scale because of inertia. Rapidly changing the speed/torque of a large combustion engine is nearly impossible. It's a great solution for reducing mechanical complexity in mini/micro sized UAVs, though.

The "perks" exist to squeeze more out of each worker, nothing more. $10 for a 15 minute haircut onsite, vs $75 for an hour of a 150k/year person's time to run out for a haircut.
