I'm going to send a link to this article to the MPAA, RIAA and my ISP the next time the claim I was downloading/sharing something illegally.

Leave it to Hunter S Thompson to remind us. In listening to the recent analysis of our US news pundits it is possible to think that the polarization in today's audiences is a recent happening until you come across articles like this.

I would recommend that he jump on Guru.com or eLance.com and start looking for projects. It is not ideal but it will keep him active as he searches for work.

I hate to say it but this article reeks of Neo-Luddism. Fiber is the future and it it here to stay. In trying to hold on to the old tech, these Verizon customers are forcing Verizon to stagger their support between two technologies for much

Actually just picking useful names for variables, field id's, application sections etc is another huge time-sink.

Somehow "I'm negotiable" sounds a little off. "I'm willing to negotiate" sounds so much better to me. /grammar fascism

I agree but as I read this I had a morbid thought - I'm posing it wondering if anyone else relates. I couldn't help but think, now that he's dead I can dig into his works without the fear of being overrun by his output. It is

True. I'm not sure I want to hang out with a bunch of 80 yr olds who can't grab a burger or a drink and spend all day indoors to limit sun exposure. :)

I agree, it is nice to see all of the options along the way and road.li does it a lot nicer that Google does. I've been a road.li user for a couple of months (it was on ShowHN a little while ago) and it is one of those services that fi

If you like larger copy on your workstations 50" may work really well it equates to roughly four 25" monitors in a two by two setup. I found the 50" version a little too large for my purposes I have my monitor wall mounted a

I know it is a break from the $100 budget but a 4k (3840x2160) monitor is almost a necessity for me right now. I have two Seiki 39" each of which has replaced four 21" monitors.

Google's pretty good at thumbing their noses at the naysayers that say "Haha...you're not going to xxx all yyy". xxx = crawl and cache, yyy = reachable pages on the web xxx = scan and preview, yyy = published books etc

I'd take that to the next step where in the future all workstations will be a nice tall igloo shape where the entire roof and walls are the display and you can swivel around you seat (with embedded keyboard).

I'd like to chime in as another Seiki user. I've been working on projects for 3-4 month with the Seiki and I end up using it 12-14 hrs on many days. I run it at full 2160p but have increased my Win8 res to 120%.

I thought the same thing but now that I have the Seiki it is very similar to having 4 x 20" 1080p monitors. The view angle is decent as long as you place the monitor about 2-3 feet away.
