I can't wait to give this a try... I've been weekend hacking on trying to improve on the NextMuni predictions, because they're just so consistently misleading/awful.

I think you're right... as someone who was very much involved in the whole diy pvr scene, I was pining away for that card to come out (That hauppauge card was even the last "news" post on my site byopvr.com). By the time the card did come o

FWIW It was a pretty spontaneous creation. I'm attending the conference and being a regular user/visitor/lurker/fan of wompt, created a room and mentioned it to dan and he took the ball and ran with it. Which is a pretty appropriate experim

While I agree there's definitely more to the holistic experience of UX than simply designing a UI after "frontpage" tutorials (really now comparing balsamiq or keynote wireframes to frontpage 101 is a little insulting to those tools) A non-

Writing a book is hard. I had a book contract once, and for a multitude of personal & productivity reasons, failed to ship. So I definitely relate to the problems associated with the pressures of deadline driven forced creativity/produc

I think you use what works best for your problem set taking into account your expertise. I'm using (no demo available yet) nodejs, express, socket.io, and yQuery together. There's a jQuery wrapper out there for use with node, I think. j
