Glad to know there are recordings of this. I registered, but I've been missing the lectures because of timezone differences.

There was another person doing SICP in Clojure too, but it's been frozen in chapter 2 for a couple of years now. https://github.com/ecmendenhall/sicpclojure Hope this one gets to cover the whole book.

The purpose of this male tears joke is not to create a debate, it is about feminist women knowing there are other feminist women out there. Men don't need that, they already know. However, I do agree that in the context of a honest deb

Just to be clear, I don't think radical feminists shouldn't be taken seriously, just the extremely radical shouldn't. There's room for radical feminism, not for hate. "Male tears" isn't a radical feminist

Feminism isn't a monolith, there are lots of flavors in feminism. Only the most radical feminists are "against" men, but they are far from being a majority. Many feminists actually do talk about "sorority" in that s

I see @stkim1 is also the author of the blog. Performance-wise, how does this RPi cluster compare to a more standard platform? Did you make it only as a development platform or do you intend to have production code running in it?

I like Smola's ML book, and it's great to see a full-depth ML course online, I'll certainly watch some videos. Other than that, the audio quality could be better.

Is is over? Suggestion: put a link to your book - as long as there's a free readable version to read online - on http://hackershelf.com .

I know little music theory, but I've been playing instruments "by ear" for a long time and it made many things easier to me when I learned that if you're using diatonic scale, it's very unlikely that you'll use

I liked the idea, but not the execution. There's a huge amount of aliasing which is distracting and deteriorates the images. Also, I felt like there's too much information on the screen, it's hard to focus on one thing. I lik

I've listened to this Planet Money podcast - http://www.npr.org/sections/money/2015/05/06/404701816/episo... - a couple of days ago about luddites. In it they describe the luddites as high

I haven't found a way to figure out what features have a OpenCL implementation, that I could use with the Transparent API. For example, in the features2d folder only FAST, ORB and BFMatcher have files in the opencl folder, so can'

Search for shojin ryori, it's the food made at Buddhist temples (or temples of related religions), and probably it isn't the cheapest food. There are some well evaluated shojin ryori books on Amazon. Some temples will do vegan foo

Interesting, but maybe I'm missing something here. If I just want automatic deallocation, why would I use bdwgc instead of using "vanilla" smart pointers from standard C++?

Is this open source hardware as in RPi? Like, you can actually use the GPU, but shaders and everything else are closed source?

I know it doesn't say much, but having never coded in ML and having tried F# briefly (I code mostly C#, and it'd be easy to have mixed F#/C#), I think Scala has much clearer syntax, or perhaps it's just more familiar for
