These feel like recipes for failure because it doesn't acknowledge that most people lack the ability to: A. Earn enough to employ these strategies B. Succeed at their "passion" in a meaningful way. Here is a more realistic ap

This stuff is terrible, but if it's framed around "what are the dark secrets of Americas national security agency." It is kinda pathetic. I am glad no Unit 731 level stuff has come out about the USA.

Yes it would happen in JS/python/etc as well once (2 * allOrbitFiles) > Memory. Cool fix I never think about my arrays being larger than memory haha.

Could you have achieved the same thing by just delete/free() the old arrays after copying them? I suck at manually allocating memory, have always worked in garbage collected languages where this wouldn't really be an issue.

Kids who have wealthy/involved parents that push them will always outperform kids who don't. The government can do whatever they want to try to equalize that (except encouraging parents to do better), I just hope they waste as lit

I don’t think we do fire suppression because we are too dumb to understand that unburned materials will build up. We do it because people live everywhere and it is challenging legally to tell people to evacuate their homes because we need t

Its true that other media outlets are doing it as well. Maybe each one believes they are manipulating and exploiting their audience in the "right" way? I wish we could get more Cronkite style anchors, who prided themselves on deli

Not to be pro-military or anti social programs, but the social programs are why we have a humongous debt. Military spending is ~12% of the budget? Social Security, Healthcare, Medicare and other social programs account for ~80%, so slashing

Visited Subway for the first time in ~10 years. Growing up their jingle was "$5 foot long" (this lasted til 2011 or so?). I figured there was no way a $5 price held, but I did not expect it to have almost tripled.

Thats kind of a crazy valuation to employee count ratio. 237 = 27% of company means they have ~850 or so employees for a company with an 11.7b evaluation. Seems off.

Managers who are well studied in management techniques are often unbearable to me. They lack the acting ability to pass off something they read as their genuine response, so it feels artificial and further divides us. It's like being c

This seems like a global phenomenon. What is happening? Is this related to globalization? It feels wrong to blame any countries internal policies when it seems to be happening in every country simultaneously.

I am really surprised more CEOs don't do this. If I got a business to a few million in recurring revenue it would be very tempting to slice expenses down to just maintenance mode, take a huge salary while riding it into the dirt for a
