I can't really understand this point of view. Digital scarcity is finally invented, but people feel like it will have no use-cases? Automated finance bots (smart contracts) that work without keeping a server up has no use-cases? All fi

I don't think it is at all clear that an engineering solution here is a priori a bad idea. It is possible that an organization that can land rockets standing up has better than average engineers.

That's not the reasoning I critiqued. You can apply the ole "oh, but if only said human effort was directed toward charity" line of thinking to every activity, which means it isn't a very useful line of thinking.

I wonder if you donated the time spent writing your comment to a worthy cause what could have been achieved? /s That line of reasoning is snarky, but not particularly useful.

Arguably, this is why this may be a foolish move for them. If the next 100xer avoids them based on a history of penny pinching on non 100x deals, they've been penny wise and pound foolish.

It will be interesting to see how the $200 million+ Tezos warchest affects the popularity and development of OCaml. That seems to be a fairly large amount in relation to the size of the current OCaml ecosystem, and the whole purpose of the

While I don't practice it, and think it backfires, calling spanking abuse in order to shame its practitioners is an exaggeration that helps neither the abused, nor the parents you wish to stop the practice.
