It is pretty surprising that Apple hasn't been called on this cheap PR. Every person standing in line is being used as a stooge by Apple to get press, and the media always abides. This is the first article I've seen yet that points out this

Or maybe...wait for it...you're just incredibly defensive about Apple and/or your new iPhone 4? And the story (sorry, "story", as you put it) started at Macrumors, not at Gizmodo, though it's humorous that you try to discount it because of

Where did I say I didn't know Unix? The problem is that for some deployed solutions adding in Linux boxes simply because they host one piece of software isn't optimal, so "native" solutions are chosen instead. We aren't talking about a prod

It's unfortunate there are no Windows binaries (well apparently there are no binaries yet period, but I mean they don't plan on binaries until some time out). We could host Linux VMs, but ideally we just run Windows binaries and get rid of

This article is terribly bitter, with a contrived, unsupported sense of superiority. I'm a pretty well-rounded developer, but I know there are innumerable things that I don't know. I also know that I research enough that the things I'm not

Almost everyone besides Microsoft and Nokia are onboard with Android now. Apple is too late to stop that train. No doubt the first patent volley was a bit of FUD, primarily to add a sense of risk to Android among second-tier telcos. They fa

He said "expanded to giant size" referring to text. If he meant "taking a digital image and expanding", well you barely have to expand it at all before you can see the pixels. He was clearly talking about actually enlarging text.

The reviews of the iPhone 4 have to leave Apple a bit concerned. The iPhone 4 is Apple's big yearly extravaganza, and they simply can't react to an endless stream of competitive phones. In prior years the entrant has been held as head and s
