Very slick UI. How is this done? Is the main UI HTML/Javscript or QT? I guess it's good that I can't immediately tell.

Not sure. I just gathered that much from the mailing list. My impression was they are using it for everything though.

Yes. I think that's the entire point. Things like games and autocad have enormous codebases that will never be ported to javascript. It's still not clear how much an advantage that is though. You can already share assets via the network

The latest Mono 2.10 has NaCL support provided by Google. That means F#, C#, IronPython and IronRuby, and Java through IKVM, should work with little or no work. This is a very exciting technical development but it remains unclear what the

I've had this UI for days. It's definitely less of Google's typical 1990s retro style.

How is this relationship any different from saying that if two Harvard professors publish together it receives more citations than if a Harvard and non-Harvard (remote) professor publish together. Seems pretty obvious given that the qualit

You have two options: try to get accredited enough to get hired directly or try to get accredited enough to get into a feeder program. I suspect that the latter is easier. Many good schools will give you a chance if you signal you have yo

I don't quite see the appeal of "Do It Yourself" strategy. Most people in top MBA or MFE programs are also "doing it themselves" on the side but have many more resources to draw upon. If you know for certain you want to be in business or f

I know nothing about N=NP debate, but does the claim P=NP and the existence of a published algorithm ( https://github.com/anjlab/sat3 ) make this claim easier to verify than the claim P!=NP. Isn't the point that P=NP has great practical si

Google no, but I think it's a little naive to believe the Chinese aren't trying to do this. They would be incompetent if they didn't try to infiltrate Google, as the wikileaks documents suggest they did. Government backed corporate espionag

I trust Google as an organization but I don't trust individual googlers or governments that host Google resources. You can be sure that foreign agents and jealous boyfriends are part of Google's engineering staff.

I think inline async has its place. I'm hopeful this will speed adoption of PEP 380 which should cleanup the syntax a bit. I'd prefer C# 5's await keyword rather than yield from, but that's minor. That said, I agree that Python needs bett

I don't see how it's really debatable that some programmers can be 10x more productive in certain domains. This is especially true in technical domains where it can take years to gain the knowledge required to solve the problem at all. I

For monochrome icons, using font-face seems like a better idea than CSS. You get a ton of icons in one cacheable packet and can easily change the color, drop-shadow, opacity, etc using standard css. http://somerandomdude.com/articles/desi
