What specifically is uncalled for? I disagree with the design choices made in iTerm2 and wish the best of luck to the developer(s) behind it. I am not wishing any harm, but I do have to say that the input latency is annoying and attempting

There might be some tmux involved, yes. But the same tmux config works just fine with Kitty. Kitty also hasn't been leaking commands I've ran as DNS requests. Nor has it left my zsh history on a remote host. I don't care to i

Sure, it is slow for me.

by eptcyka 2y ago
But it is. Scrolling in neovim is noticably slower on iTerm2. This makes it cumbersome to use. Even if it doesn't prevent me from inputting the keystrokes any faster, if it is cumbersome to use, it will make me work slower.

What do you mean by saying that the same class of issue can happen to any other terminal emulator?

iTerm2 is slower. It feels way jankier with nvim than Console, kitty or literally anything else. I do not believe anyone should be using iterm2, given their history of security issues. All of them leave me scratching my head as to why did a

But would you not agree that using a yubikey can improve security? If you chose to label TPMs as security by obscurity, so be it, but it doesn’t make them less useful conceptually. Shitty implementations and complexities of UEFI do that.

Is a yubikey then employing security by obscurity?

How much lift can a 30€ drone produce? A 600 gram trout could easily drag the drone underwater unless it is ridiculously overpowered.

Which are not nearly as capable and will forever be catching up. For a better situation look at Apple’s sourcekit. I’d take kotlin over swift in less than a heartbeat if it was more open source than Swift. Which us a very low order.

This also means that JetBrains will never write a language server for Kotlin, locking you into their ecosystem.

Yea, but like, when making an HTTP request, a timeout is significantly different from a failure to open a socket from a failure to resolve the hostname from a 429 error. And often it is up to the caller to decide how to handle those situati

Matching the underlying type when using an interface never feels natural and is definitely the more foreign part of Go's syntax to people who are not super proficient with it. Thus, they fall back on what they know - string comparison.

The cables are cheap, designing a door latch system to be easy to install/cheap to manufacture is not. Why do you think all parking brakes on all ICE vehicles have turned electric now?
