There’s a new FUSE implementation that uses this technique: https://github.com/macos-fuse-t/fuse-t Worked without problems for sshfs when I tested it briefly.

The iPhone RAW mode still does quite heavy processing though. Here’s a comparison I just made between the iPhone camera’s RAW and default modes, and Halide: https://i.ibb.co/XFMJVjz/9-DD734-F7-CA00-4-E53-85-C7-283315-..

Well, apparently it’s possible to “hold it wrong” then. I’d argue if you can wipe it (which requires your iCloud account approval), install it as someone else, login with that new iCloud account, then reset it and it suddenly reverts back t

That is not enough. You have to remove the device from your iCloud account too. Source: just wiped and sent back a MacBook Air to my old workspace. My colleague finished the macOS setup and logged in with their iCloud account. After resetti

That seems to no longer be the case. Toggling Bluetooth on iOS 16.2 on an iPhone 14 Pro replaces the slider with a spinner, and it even flickers when turned back on. Also, the sliding only works correctly if you press and hold and then star

Best practice for doing this with the BEAM (the Erlang VM) is to just run two VMs, one for your app code and a “dirty” one that is allowed to crash and be restarted without bringing down your app VM.

It’s still GitHub’s fault for not communicating this clearly enough. The problem really is, why does “Sign in with GitHub” grant permissions to act as the user on GitHub? Shouldn’t that be called something else like “Allow nopecha.com to

If I’m the one spending $700 to buy something I should be able to demand the check every outgoing product equally rigorously too. They obviously deem it worth it when they reverse spend that amount. Why buy something there if the odds are

The Erlang plug-in does this. It uses the older and well-tested Kerl under the hood, but you the nice UI of asdf on top instead.

I don’t agree. As a proof of concept I wrote a Fish native version of the function that figures out what local version of a tool to use I do actually use it to show the currently selected version in my shell prompt. The asdf version was unu

What’s new is that you can tap the hourly forecast card, or the Today entry in the 10-day forecast and get a historical graph for the current day at least. But yeah, not possible to check yesterday’s weather.

I have that luxury but the next round I’ll just get one powerful laptop and a great screen instead. It’s way too much work syncing workspaces, repos, configuration, installed software, etc.

Personally I like the production chains in Cities Skylines. I feel they add purpose to the design of the road network and handling of traffic problems. I just wish the AI was a ton better (there are a few mods that help though).
