It's probably a humour piece. The trouble is that many foreigners tend to take it at face value because it panders to racist stereotypes they hold about the British.

Fair enough, if so then compare Android with iOS and the Android userbase with the iOS userbase, i.e. the iPad, iPod Touch. The fandroids in topics like this one are delusional and seemingly motivated by anti-Apple hatred. Reminds me of all

It's not so much "tolerated" as just a form of abusive willy-waving that powerful people can get away with. If Linus behaved like that in real life with real people he'd likely get punched in the mouth, repeatedly. It's amusing to read him

It wouldn't matter if www.foo.bar and foo.bar both resolved to the target, all too often the www. prefix is the only one that works. Get that sorted then worry about deprecating the prefix.

All of this may be true, 6 years is a long time and if he takes your guidance he should plan to spend time with a sports psychologist early on and get spectated match practice as early as feasible (say after 4 years). It's doable, very, ver

It may sometimes be the right question, it all depends on what the enquirer wants to with the data. This comment is just an exercise in answering a question that no one asked, I fail to see why it merited any upvotes.

You are correct that being introverted and a social recluse are not the same thing. Extroversion is the characteristic of being outgoing and comfortable in social interactions. It has nothing to do with speaking publicly which is more abo

"Testing" a web app when it is not your job to do so is self evidently a suspicious act, just like walking down a line of cars testing the door handles to see if any have been left unlocked would be a suspicious act.

I remember believing (though without any supporting evidence) that this was one reason why SmallTalk couldn't possibly catch on commercially. The system was so mutable that any kind of support was impossible, there as no way the support per

What justification? If someone can't cope with a buying process then they shouldn't buy, it is no excuse for stealing. This is as asinine as seeing a long queue at a supermarket and declaring this is "justification" for walking out with the

Yet another know-it-all blaming the victim. There is no magic immunity which accrues from being 18, the kid knew what he was doing and wilfully committed criminal acts.

More anti-Apple whining and double standards. Funny how when people commit theft by avoiding paying for recorded content like music and films the claim is that the world has changed and the studios and record companies should adapt their bu
