On a casual inspection this is just bloated ineptness, exactly what I have come to expect from Adobe. One passage consisted of a string of empty divs of the form <div class="wrap"></div> which a decent 'code generator' would

None of which really matters, at all. It's a blog post not a journal paper or a research report. It would have been nice to see a link to a full account but perhaps they couldn't decide how to represent that.

Striking how old most of these papers are, many from the 60s and 70s, very few from the 00s. Those who don't learn from the past are destined to reinvent it, poorly.

I think you have failed to grasp what was said. It's not an "interesting observation", it's about as fundamental a misinterpretation as you can get. Unless you are suggesting that Google didn't know why the others were bidding on patents in

Aren't they over-thinking this a bit? This seems like the Microsoft-ification of crapper design, i.e. gratuitously complicated, unmaintainable and essentially irrelevant to the basic problem. We are talking mostly about places without prope

Sounds steep to me but if these guys are good then 40-50% of a lot is better than 100% of very little. What happens after 18 months? I'm guessing, as always, the devil is in the detail. Get other proposals so you can compare.

I personally don't value the opinions of people who just leave reviews out of a desire to see their words appear on a website somewhere (and the irony of writing this doesn't escape me). I do agree with your view (directly below at the time

I think that requiring that you must have purchased the item before you can leave a review is key. Of course giving a bully pulpit to people who can leave consequence-free complaints and negative feedback is key to Amazon's bogus sense of "

Neuromancer and Chernobyl are intertwined for me, probably because I remember talking about it to a colleague one day when the fallout may have been drifting over the UK. Awesome book, I'd read it again but I doubt it would live up to my me

I saw something like this described many years ago (possibly by Ted Nelson, who coined the term 'hypertext'). The concept was like a volume control for text where cranking the volume control varied the amount of detail from one line summary

The code exists and is doing no harm, it could arguably defend against later coding errors which let currently impossible situations arise. There is a difference between arguing against creating tests for "can't happen" conditions in the fi

I thought the "meandering" was actually a lucid explanation of the difficulty in choosing a suitable order of names in what is a highly sensitive location. Anyway, I thought you chose an overly verbose way of saying "tl;dr".
