Probably just means that Angular (at least seems to be) losing momentum and marketshare to React. It's hard to go a day without seeing something cool or exciting about React on the front page here, but all you see about Angular is eith

That was my first thought. Why go through all this hassle to just put off the problem until the traffic merely doubles? This seems like when you see something silly in code like: // const MAX_SIZE = 1; // make it bigger

This is an impressively cool thing that I've never even thought about. Really neat that a hobbyist result is comparable (better in the example!) than the commercial product.

Right, it seems like this is a tragic success of the process. Without a body like the FDA or France's equivalent enforcing rigorous trials, this would not be 6 people who opted in, this would be hundreds or thousands of sick people who

While I do worry about the state of the FDA and prescription drugs in the US, things like this make me feel glad that drug companies have a well regulated process to catch issues like this before they can become more widespread.

Probably because his comment was rude while also not being particularly constructive. If he'd said it more nicely, it might have been better received.

Plus with the current state of the web, jQuery from a major CDN is in probably every single browser cache in the world. There's something to be said for a core web library that almost never has to be re-downloaded.

Fitbit lost me as a customer a while ago with how locked down their data is. Why buy this instead of a Pebble, an Android Wear device, or an Apple Watch, all of which have a comparable feature set and price, longer track record, and better

You know, that is strange. Yahoo has a much much larger share of the traditional fantasy market, as well as a daily fantasy product. Not sure how the money aspect of it compares with FanDuel or DraftKings, but you would think they'd be

A huge amount of the work is just making the software work for any given workflow or organizational structure. For perspective, Epic has a couple dozen people working full time on just the user management parts of their software.

Nice writeup. Surprising it took someone so long to notice the issues in Chrome, since it appears to be so much worse than the others.

From a data point of one, when my grandma's old Mac Mini stopped being able to sync to or update her iPad, we ended up just caving and buying her a new Mac Mini. For the life of a computer, it really just wasn't worth the hassle.

While I kind of agree, it seems to be pretty common behavior for software audio players. VLC for example has the same UI and behavior.

What 2nd factor has a static key that allows you to store it in 1password? I don't think I've seen a second factor that isn't hardware (phone, dongle, whatever) and/or a dynamically generated code.

Realistically, I think this policy probably makes sense at a company the size and visibility of Twitter. They probably get enough applicants from the schools listed to fill their needs. I worked at a company of comparable size, and they act

Eh, kind of. If you're rendering, for example, a Table with a lot of TableRows and change one of the values in the data array being passed to Table.props, you'd return true from Table.shouldComponentUpdate, and then each child Tab
