Pro-tip: On Chrome's certificate error page, you can type "badidea" (or "thisisunsafe" in 66 or later) to force it to let you through.

I’m going to go with they hadn’t come up with it yet. Modern M, at least at Epic, goes through a few levels of transpilation/compilation before ending up running in Java (I think that’s what Cache is now). New code isn’t really much wo

I’m also an ex-Epic guy! It’s been a while since I played with these (M without EpicStudio is painful), but I think starting my career in M definitely helped me as a developer. Every time I hear someone complain about JS at work I’m like “I

Mumps! There's a couple of docker images floating around out there for playing around in it. If anyone hasn't tried it, it's "fun". M's global data stores, weird scoping, and strange syntax make for some intere

Two of them now. One to add Set-specific methods, and another to port the usual Array.prototype methods over to Set and Maps. Can't wait! https://github.com/tc39/set-methods https://github.com/tc39

Even that's not technically true. You can represent things in JSON that can't be represented in ES object literals. There's a proposal in Stage 3 to fix that though: https://github.com/tc39/proposal-json-

There’s also a disown-opener CSP directive that’s hopefully going to be implemented at some point. Should help take care of this.

From what I’ve heard, there’s a bunch of mostly unused land south of the football stadium that has been slowly being bought up over the last year or so. Obvious speculation is that it’s either Amazon or someone betting that Amazon will want

Google Analytics has a query parameter that can be used to extract arbitrary data. So make a request to that with an ID that you control I guess? GitHub mentions it in their CSP post: https://githubengineering.com/githubs-po

Doesn’t Catalonia have a 13% unemployment rate? And a ~40% unemployment rate among young people? Seems like that fits those criteria pretty well...

This is an assignment from Georgia Tech’s OMSCS 6601 class, Intro to AI. This was a super fun assignment, with lots of low hanging optimizations like this :)

I really enjoyed Fall of Hyperion. It's very different from Hyperion, but I think the plot is still very satisfying. Endymion and Rise of Endymion are okay and interesting in their own way, but a definite step down IMO.

I think the issue is that you do want non-strict equality 90% of the time, but correctly identifying the 10% where you need strict equality is difficult and impossible to automate. So you end up weighing cognitive overhead and subtle type

I think what blew my mind most was `git bisect run`. Write a test case, go get coffee, have git spit out the offending commit automatically. So cool.

Is that unexpected? Seems like it makes sense that doctors who specialize in pain management would make up a huge share of painkiller prescriptions. And oncologists make up a huge share of chemo prescriptions, etc. etc.

This is really excellent. Making sure people get put onto the right PRs is a hassle, and anything that makes code review easier is a huge plus in my book.

Seems like there's other brands that you could acquire if that was the goal (Safeway, Ingles, Publix, Kroger, etc), but maybe those are too big? Anyways, just seems like a waste to trash the Whole Foods brand when I imagine that's

Besides spoiler tags, check out any of the sports subs: r/cfb, r/NFL, r/NBA have team flair, schedules, and scoreboards. Without those and the inline images, those communities would lose a lot of their fun.

The Jira analogy falls a little bit flat, because the information entered into an EMR is often the actual product, not just documentation. Orders entered into the EMR directly affect the outcome of the patient, and errors can be fatal. Havi

+1 for SlingTV with the sports addons for CFB. I subscribe in August and cancel in February every year. It even gets you an ESPN login so you don't have to use Sling's app.
