It's become a thing over the past few months if not longer. People tell their stories in the sentence per paragraph form, thinking it adds drama, I guess. I find it a bit annoying.

Do you think such comprehensive enforcement would be limited to traffic violations? While you might not want it, you're advocating for total surveillance, and severe authoritarianism.

Yes I have. Guarding national security is one thing. Keeping a new consumer gadget secret is another. Apple isn't so important.

To be honest, that doesn't sound like a "good" friend to me. Doesn't trust you enough to share not only any work details, but not even an opinion either? Maybe too much self-importance?

Purposeful != functional, and I don't argue that they serve no purpose. My point is it's a lot of detail work (i.e. BS) for something that does no 'work' -- it's a lot of overhead for a visual cue.

So, speech about fat or trans people must be limited to "caring about their rights"? If you can't say something nice then you're not allowed to say anything at all?

I think China has been playing us for years, and doing so masterfully. There's no _good_ reason for the US, with our economy and standing, to be ripping itself apart from within -- but, indeed we are. Not only is China growing in powe

When California enacted their bag bans, I shifted a lot (more) of my purchasing to Amazon. If you really want retailers to make it even more inconvenient to shop at a brick and mortar, beware the consequences.
