It can get way worse than that: at a big chess site I used to play at, a password reset email gives you a url of the form ".../passwordreset.php?user=yourname&password=yourfreakingpasswordincleartext" I let them know about it years ago.

Don't know much yet, but: their editor is Eclipse-based. The scripts are Lua-based and can be cross-compiled.

Sorry to offend, I was just clarifying why the original guy said you sounded naive - just clarifying what specific implementation you had in mind would have helped in your original comment. I can see how it sounded as if you meant the idea

In the sense that this is an age-old dream of mankind (see Tower of Babel), not an idea someone grabbed away from you before you could create a startup.

One time I had to set my alarm for 4am (early flight) and Siri said, "OK, but don't wake me up!". On the one hand that's pretty funny of course, but on the other hand, I think it's a helpful sanity check for you to make sure you didn't actu

Even with an incredibly exact model, to actually get ALL 50 right really does require a lot of luck in addition to skill. Even if he's 98% accurate for each state (which seems amazingly high to me), that's still only a 1 in 3 chance to get

Another Lua-based framework for iOS programming is Moai. I played around with it a while back and fell in love with Lua. Really simple yet powerful stuff. http://getmoai.com/

"I’d be humbled if you followed me on Twitter." Insta-followed. Can we please make THIS be the typical tagline at the end of every article instead of the aggressive "you should follow me"?

Slight critique here - I feel like he's using this to push an agenda rather than just telling us in detail what tools and software he uses to get his job done. He mentions a few things but in far less detail than anyone else I've read on us

In my mind, this will be the first major test of Tim Cook as a CEO. This is not "I get a bad signal if I hold the phone the wrong way". This is "my iPhone drove us to the wrong hospital so I wasn't able to say goodbye to my grandfather". Pr

fascinating stuff, makes me long for a good IDE on iPad that doesn't feel like a "toy", that can handle Objective-C for example. In an ideal world, Apple would be working on "iCode" as we speak... ;)

Now that is a well-written article. The bookend plays on words are just smart enough to not be cheesey but rather make the article especially memorable.
