So very true - and sadly, while there are development guides and books aplenty, I have yet to find a high-quality guide on "how to market your iOS app"... anyone have any recommendations?

Seems to me like it was simply an (understandable) misread of a clear title. It's "API lessons", not "lessons API". :)

I just realized I loved the clackity clack noises so googled around a bit and figured out you can activate them on OS X under Preferences -> Accessibility -> Slow Keys.

An excellent example of an MVP the way it should be - minimal, yes, but definitely useful and providing great value. Bookmarked. Thanks!

This one is one I use the most: https://ifttt.com/recipes/71205 Anything I Buffer-Tweet automatically gets bookmarked in Diigo. Really helpful for having a list of bookmarks that I thought was interesting.

"More reasonable" points exactly to what I'm talking about. If the demand for this offer is so intense their servers melt down for hours on end it seems this is pointing to a huge opportunity the rest of the year to reach all those who thin

All their server issues must mean they are dealing with unprecedented demand. It makes me wonder: When demand is THIS intense for a 75% off sale, you think it'd mean a more optimal "normal" price point would be at 25-50% off your current no

On the one hand I can see where you're coming from - charity can very often be done as a self-serving way to justify other evils. Kind of like the dad who out of guilt for never being home buys his kids a nice computer. On the other hand, 5

I'm getting a bit miffed at the comments talking about this being a "PR move" or helpful for a "tax break". Did I read this wrong or did it not say 500. MILLION. dollars? The cynicism must be pretty darn strong to try and explain that away

I came here to post almost exactly this. This happens regularly with the big sites - some idiot lawyer writes an overly cautious ToS change, everyone gets up in arms about it, the site writes an apology clarifying (and probably fires the la

The main thing is to not fall into the "productivity porn" trap of trying to find the best tool instead of actually getting stuff done - when something simple is more than enough. Keep a simple list of things to do as a backlog and maybe an

Looking at a usual Lego Girl package it reminds me far more of Playmobil sets than Lego. For example, there is no 25-step manual like there is for the cool spaceships, police stations, or castles that my 7-year old son gets to work through.

EmptyInbox - it's a little Inbox Zero helper for GMail. http://app.net/emptyinbox Thanks for the pointer re: the kickfolio link. Kickfolio apparently "kicked" their app portfolio offering for devs (apparently without warning?). Bummer.

I heartily agree with this article - it's a bit of sanity that is much needed with all the push lately for extreme gender neutrality. The Swedish principles are currently being discussed here in Germany as well and are proving popular (thou

I think it's easy to overestimate the importance of being blogged about. My app was chosen as "App of the day" by thenextweb.com and it was retweeted about 200 times - I got a download spike of about 100 (remember the link was retweeted 200

I find myself strongly disagreeing with the "world view" behind this post - though the common sensical statement "don't go with defaults all the time" is great, the post exudes an ego-centrical way of viewing life - make choices based on wh

“To whom much is given, much is expected.” is an exciting quote to see Tim Cook get passionate about. Having an 11-digit cash hoard at your disposal could be an unbelievable force for good. Though he does misattribute the quote to JFK - it
