What about obscuring rather than hiding? For instance, a script that emails hundreds of random addresses, tweets on hundreds of different accounts, visits thousands of different urls, texts and voice calls hundreds of numbers (for those wi

All great points. For my last move from NYC to Seattle, I ended up selling just about all of my books (amazon is amazing for reselling books). Made enough to pay for my flight to Seattle. Selling all my furniture (mostly craigslist) paid

I'm not a fan of these tactics at all as a developer or a consumer. The simplest way I've found to avoid these games is to cross reference the "Top Free" and "Highest Grossing" lists on the play store.

In all, I agree with billing at a daily rate. Personally I bill in half day increments for minor maintenance with smaller loyal clients and daily or even weekly for significant slices of work. A worthwhile client won't pay much attention

I use google now's voice search almost daily, and some other voice-command like "what song is this?", "set a timer...". Personally, I wish my desktop had google now and voice search. I've especially found voice search to be the more social

Definitely interesting, and I'll probably try it at some point should I find both the time and the inclination to do so. Admittedly, I paid for that application because I didn't want to implement it myself. But I'm glad there are some bui

I think it makes sense in a "plain conversation" sort of way: when asking a computer for something is as plain as asking a friend to pass the remote. To push a button, then speak in to the device, then watch it recognize it, then wait for a
